年が明けてしまいましたが、昨年を代表する言葉を見ていきましょう。

rage bait
(n.) Online content deliberately designed to elicit anger or outrage by being frustrating, provocative, or offensive, typically posted in order to increase traffic to or engagement with a particular web page or social media account.
意味としては「SNSで炎上を狙った釣り言葉」です。日本では以前から問題になっている気もしますね。

parasocial
adjective: involving or relating to a connection that someone feels between themselves and a famous person they do not know, a character in a book, film, TV series, etc., or an artificial intelligence
「直接は知らない有名人との間の繋がりに関した」といったところです。有名人がSNSで直接情報を発信するようになり、その受け手が一方的に親密を感じ双方向に繋がっていると勘違いしている状態を表す言葉でしょうか。SNS時代ならではの言葉ですね。

digital content of low quality that is produced usually in quantity by means of artificial intelligence
「AIで大量に作られた低品質のデジタルコンテンツ」だそうです。日本でもアフィリエイトサイトの多くがまさしくそうです。元々の意味は「柔らかい泥」で、そこから「ほとんど無価値のもの」となっています。
どれもがネット関連の言葉です。今の時代を表していますね。
